The Department of Archaeology and History of Art, along with the Department of History, constitute the Faculty of History and Archaeology. The Department of Archaeology and History of Art was established in 1983 and is now the largest in the country. It has a large number of students and is involved in a variety of research projects, fieldwork, restoration programs and archaeological exhibitions.
